Another top wine of unparalleled quality from Muré. This white wine is made from the Gewürztraminer grape, grown in the finest vineyards in Alsace. The vineyards are approximately forty years old, which is the basis for a top-quality Gewürztraminer. We can confidently say that this Muré is one of the finest and beloved worldwide.
Twelve generations of top-quality wines
Domaine Muré is a true family business, founded in 1650. The twelfth generation is now at the helm. Veronique Muré and her brother Thomas work together to ensure the winery guarantees top quality. The stylish, new, clean labels are just one sign of the constant drive for improvement at this beautiful family business. Their mission is to further develop this top winery. The estate encompasses approximately twenty-five hectares of vineyards, twelve of which are dedicated to the exquisite Clos Staint Landelin. They operate entirely organically, and the estate is therefore certified organic.
The ideal base for this Gewurztraminer
The Orchidees Sauvages refers to the wild orchids growing in the dry hills of Rouffach, which surround the vineyard. These dry hills are notable for their clay and limestone soil and Mediterranean microclimate. Among these specific plants are many wild orchids. The Gewürztraminer thrives in this sunny terroir. This location is refreshed by night breezes from the Grand Ballon and Petit Ballon vineyards, producing a fruity and elegant wine.
The harvest is carried out entirely by hand, into small, twenty-kilo crates to ensure optimal protection during harvest. The wine then matures slowly on its lees. The Muré Gewürztraminer has a beautiful yellow color with golden glints. The aroma is wonderfully full, with aromas of roses and exotic fruit. The palate is rounded, with notes of passion fruit and citrus. The finish is clean, long, and fresh. A wine that will definitely not bore you. This Gewürztraminer can be enjoyed with foie gras, exotic dishes, and cheeses.
