Nodus Merlot Delirium DO Utiel‑Requena
Nodus Merlot Delirium is an organic, single-varietal Merlot from the DO Utiel-Requena, sourced from Finca El Renegado. This red wine undergoes a short barrel aging of approximately two months and is bottled unfiltered, allowing for natural sediment. With a balanced fruit structure, refined tannins, and lively acidity, this Merlot is both exciting and approachable.
Vineyards and region
The Merlot grapes come from the organically managed 'Parcela El Aljibe' on Finca El Renegado near Caudete de las Fuentes, Valencia. The chalky soil, combined with a continental climate offering warm days and cool nights, gives the grapes an optimal balance of ripeness and freshness. This terroir blend enhances ripe aromas without sacrificing elegance.
Vinification and maturation
The wine is made from carefully selected Merlot grapes. After fermentation, it is aged in oak barrels for about two months, adding complexity. The wine is bottled unfiltered to allow for natural precipitation. No stabilization is applied.
Grape composition
100% Merlot from a single plot ('Parcela El Aljibe') within Finca El Renegado, rooted in calcareous soil within DO Utiel‑Requena.
