Oh By Omerade Rosé is made by Château de L'Aumerade, who know better than anyone how rosé should taste. A blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, this wine is made exclusively from the estate's vineyards in Pierrefeu, but it cannot be classified as a Cru Classe, as the 89 hectares are reserved for the flagship cuvee Marie Cristine. Nevertheless, this is an absolutely magnificent rosé, with the characteristic elegance of this historic château.

The 400-year-old French winery Ch̢ateau de l'Aum̩rade

The Fabre family and Provence are inextricably linked. The family has been established here for 18 generations and therefore knows the wine region inside and out. The soil and history contribute to the production of beautiful wines at their various estates and chateaux. Château de l'Aumôrade is a 400-year-old French vineyard located in the sheltered Pierrefeu plain, in the heart of Provence, and encompasses 550 hectares of vines under the watchful ownership of Henri Fabre. 112 hectares of these have been classified as Cru Classé since 1955. The red, mineral-rich soils elevate the quality of other parts of the Provence appellation. In 1950, the estate received its first distinction and was designated a Cru Classé. In 2006, the estate celebrated its 50th anniversary. Harvest takes place in early September and is followed by cold maceration for the rosé wines. This is followed by a gentle pneumatic pressing and fermentation at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve the maximum aromas and quality of each grape variety.

The fresh aroma continues on the palate, which is thirst-quenching with abundant notes of strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit, lime, red flowers, and lavender. What a gem, and at this price point!
