Manual harvest for Pere Ventura Primer Rose Extra Dry
The Pere Ventura winery is located in Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, approximately 35 kilometers south of Barcelona. It was founded in 1992 by the eponymous Spanish businessman, Pere Ventura. For his own winery, Pere Ventura had a clear vision and concept for wines and cavas. Like his ancestors, he strived for perfection and the highest quality. At the same time, he already had an eye on the global wine world and therefore began opening up international markets from the very beginning. He quickly made the leap into the top group of cava producers. The winery is very modern, but Pere always strives to focus on traditional winemaking. A Pere Ventura signature adorns each label as a sign of craftsmanship. The vineyards are located in the Baix Penedes and Central Penedes regions, with an average altitude of 250 meters above sea level, deep soils, and average water retention capacity.
The blend for this Rosé Semi Seco consists of Macabeo, Parellada, and Xarello. The grapes are harvested individually by hand. Each grape variety is collected separately and then destemmed. The grapes are cooled and then gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 16 and 18 degrees Celsius. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the traditional method, with a minimum aging on the lees of 4 to 6 months.
The scent and taste of the Primer Rose Extra Dry
This Pere Ventura Cava is a Semi-Seco. This means it has a slightly higher residual sugar content. This results in a slightly dry flavor that everyone will enjoy. The aroma reveals fresh red fruit, as well as sweet raspberries. When you take a sip of this Pere Ventura Rosé Semi-Seco Cava, you'll immediately think of fresh strawberries. The red fruit is omnipresent. However, this Cava also has a crisp edge, which, despite its sweet character, makes the taste incredibly refreshing. Ideal for enjoying in the afternoon sun.
