This beautiful winery was founded in 1954 and is today one of the finest producers of southern Italian wines. Grandfather Angelo founded the winery with the goal of making wines in which you could clearly taste the grape varietal. Honest wines with Italian traditions. Well, he more than succeeded, and now his grandchildren are at the helm in Puglia. The old vines are currently producing a fantastic harvest known as Puglia's gold.
The old vineyard of Posta Piana
The white wine is made from Fiano and Greco grapes. These two complement each other perfectly and are grown in southern Italy, specifically Cerignola in Apulia. The climate here is perfect for white grape varieties. Thanks to the many hours of sunshine, the grapes ripen beautifully and retain their freshness thanks to the fresh breeze that blows from the sea through the vineyards. This creates the perfect balance between warmth and coolness for a mature white wine style.
Full and very powerful this Posta Piana Fiano Greco
Once the grapes have reached full ripeness, they are harvested in the morning. This prevents damage to the bunches and prevents oxidation during harvesting. Upon arrival at Cantine Paradiso, the bunches undergo a gentle pressing, and the juice matures on the yeasts for four months. This results in a fuller and creamier white wine. The aroma reveals nuances of tropical and citrus fruit. The palate is very lively, with a richness of yellow and tropical fruit. The back of the palate reveals hints of mint leaves and grapefruit. What a superb glass with a very lingering aftertaste.
