Saladini Pilastri is a household name in the Marche wine region, a winery with an unprecedented history stretching back hundreds of years. Nestled in the heart of the village of Pinetoli, this centuries-old winery is surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The vineyards are located in the Rosso Piceno region, north of the city of Ancona. Originally a noble family from Ascoli Piceno, they established themselves in this beautiful area and cultivated exceptionally fertile soil. Their harvests are renowned, as the grapes are heavily influenced by the Tronto River. Today, two renowned oenologists, Domenico d'Angelo and Roberto Cipresso, are at the forefront of this white wine. And they are no strangers to the art of winemaking at the highest level!

The vineyards, filled with Sangiovese and Montepulciano, are situated at an altitude of 180 meters above sea level. This allows the bunches to receive abundant sunshine and ripen beautifully. The fresh ocean breeze provides a refreshing breeze, imparting a wonderful freshness to the harvest. This is evident in the exquisite flavors. But before this, the entire wine is aged for a full four months in oak barrels. This period is crucial for the wine's development.

The ripe taste of Saladini Pilastri Rosso Piceno

It's a full-bodied wine with plenty of fruit. Upon pouring, it reveals a beautiful, bright red color with a slight purple rim. It flows from the glass, offering hints of ripe black and red fruit, along with light spice and a touch of vanilla and cedar. The palate is powerful, with plenty of blackberry and cherry flavors, as well as almond and mint. The back of the palate reveals plenty of spice and some berry fruit.
