Our famous Silver Moki wine is getting a completely new bottle, label, and style. Fortunately, the quality remains exactly the same, but the name is being changed to Tomtit. The winemakers of Tomtit chose this name because the bird plays an important role in the biodiversity of the vineyards. The Tomtit bird is always present in the vineyards and contributes to the unique harvest of Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The Tomtit vineyards are located in the beautiful Marlborough wine region. Everyone knows this region is perfect for Sauvignon Blanc grapes, and the Tomtit vineyards are unique. The old vines, some 40 years old, give this wine an unprecedentedly beautiful character.

The harvest of the Sauvignon Blanc

What a superb wine from New Zealand, specifically the Marlborough wine region! The Sauvignon Blanc grapes enjoy a superb climate during the growing season. Plenty of sunshine almost enhances the grapes' unique ripeness. But even more important is the refreshing breeze and the sharp drop in nighttime temperatures. The cool weather gives the harvest the perfect balance of ripeness and beautiful acidity in this white Tomtit wine. The grapes are harvested by hand and then transported to the press in small crates early in the morning to preserve all the freshness in this wine. And it certainly succeeds; as soon as you open the bottle, a refined, vibrant bouquet of aromas greets you.

The aroma and taste of the Tomtit Sauvignon Blanc

We noted passion fruit, lime zest, green apples, and a hint of freshly mown grass. The taste of this Tomtit Sauvignon Blanc is also a feast for the eyes, wonderfully fresh and ripe with abundant fruit nuances of Granny Smith apple, passion fruit, and melon. On the back of the palate, beautiful Sauvignon Blanc characteristics emerge, such as green herbs, mint, basil, and a hint of lime. This top wine from the Marlborough wine region is highly recommended, and it's no wonder that this Tomtit Sauvignon Blanc has already received numerous awards for its quality.
