Semi-sweet red wine

The Torre de la Pobleta Valencia Sweet Red is made from authentic Spanish grape varieties, namely Garnache and Tempranillo. The vineyards for this slightly sweet red wine are located around the old village of Pobleta. It will therefore come as no surprise that this wine takes its name from the medieval tower that stands at the head of the village, the Torre de la Pobleta. The wonderfully warm climate allows the grapes to absorb the necessary sugars for a sweet wine. By leaving the grapes to hang until late in the growing season, they gain some extra time, ensuring the sweetness is truly perfect. When the winemaker at Torre de la Pobleta considers the grapes ripe, the harvest begins in the middle of the night. This allows the grapes to rest and be more resistant to bruising on their way to the winery.
