Von Blumen Lagrein originates from the sunny vineyards around Pochi di Salorno, located in the beautiful Alto Adige region of northern Italy. The vineyards are situated slightly lower in the valley, ideal for ripening the Lagrein grapes. The grapes are hand-picked with the utmost care, selecting only the finest and ripest bunches. After gentle crushing and destemming, the grapes undergo controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, where the juice remains in contact with the skins. This ensures optimal extraction of flavor and color. The wine is pumped over daily to promote this extraction. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to large wooden barrels, where it ages for several months.
