A wine you'll never forget, this ripe, oak-aged Chardonnay. Every vintage sells out in no time, which isn't surprising, as this is Warwick's king wine. The oldest vineyard, high on the Simonsberg, nourishes this Chardonnay. The old vines are now elderly and don't produce many bunches, but they are incredibly beautiful. Thanks to the refined climate with warm afternoons and cool nights, this wine is fresh and, above all, powerful. There are only 3,000 vines per hectare, which isn't much, as these Chardonnay vines need plenty of space. This allows them to receive more nutrition from the chalky soil, developing such intense flavors.
The old Chardonnay vineyard for this Warwick White Lady
For this Warwick White Lady Chardonnay, a special vineyard was selected, ideal for the Chardonnay grape. Harvesting is a little later than usual to give the grapes a bit more fullness, and the rest of the harvesting process for this White Lady is entirely by hand. The finest juice is then poured into 228-liter oak barrels. These beautiful French oak barrels give it its fullness and power. Twenty-five percent of the barrels are new, giving this White Lady Chardonnay even more power. The entire wine is aged on the lees, completing the final product—a wine you'll never forget.
The scent and taste of the Warwick White Lady
On the nose, this White Lady Chardonnay boasts an impressive palette of tropical fruits like pear and peach, complemented by beautiful nuances of nuts, vanilla, caramel, toast, and cedar. But what splendor and splendor, so delicious! The palate is also exceptionally good, with a lovely, thick structure and abundant ripe fruit notes of peach, apricot, and pineapple. Its complexity comes from the spices, vanilla, and toasted notes. The finish of this Warwick White Lady Chardonnay is impressive, beautifully full and creamy with a lingering aftertaste. Please note: limited availability, as there won't be many of these available.
