A superb Blaufrankisch, just as you'd expect. Lively and juicy with the classic cherry flavor. This is complemented by just the right amount of spice, which completes the palate. A delicious, high-quality Austrian wine from Weingut Triebaumer.

The perfect soil structures for Triebaumer wine

The Triebaumer family has been based in Rust, Austria, since 1691, cultivating vines in prime locations. Today, Günter and Regina are at the helm. They are passionate winemakers who focus on nature and sustainability. They own approximately 24 hectares of vineyards in total, with the best locations being Plachen, Oberer Wald, Gillesberg, and Geyerumriss. The soils consist of limestone, gravel, and slate typical of this region. Everything is geared towards quality, and thanks to the dry summers and long autumns, the grapes also benefit from an excellent climate. The Blaufrankisch grapes are grown on loamy soils in the Umriss, Bandkraftn, Mitterkraftn, and Gemark vineyards. At peak ripeness, they are harvested by hand in September. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed and fermented for 12 to 15 days at a controlled temperature. At the end of fermentation, they macerate for three days, after which they are gently pressed. Malolactic fermentation finally takes place in large, used oak barrels.

What does the Weingut Triebaumer Blaufrankisch taste like?

Attractive aromas of dark berries and cherries leap from the glass. These fruity notes mingle with subtle spice and a hint of blackberry. This dark purple red wine is also delightfully fruity and spicy on the palate. These notes blend with the tannins, leading to a piquant and lively finish. A powerful red wine with beautiful fruity notes and just the right amount of intensity. This Blaufrankisch pairs perfectly with stews or game dishes.
