Vintage Report
The year 2020 in Castilla y León is rated with an excellent score of 94. The wines from this year are of high quality and are characterized by powerful potential.
We consider this red wine from one of the finest wineries in the Bierzo region. This red Cima Bella is made by none other than Bodega del Abad, a well-known name in this region. Under the leadership of Winemaker Ramiro Carbajo, they now produce a top-class wine from the Mencia grape. This grape also grows on the winery's old vines, which have been in the ground for approximately 35 years. The vineyards and location of the winery are near the ancient Carracedo Monastery, founded by Bermudo II "El Gotoso," which dates back to 990. The monastery is a part of the area's history and was recently completely restored. Old traditions are being revived, but with a modern twist; Cima Bella also wanted their wines to shine. And they've more than succeeded, as they are beloved worldwide.
