This white wine is more than just any white wine. The designation Blanc de Noir simply means that this is a white wine made from red grapes. A complicated and time-consuming process, but a piece of cake for Brogsitter winery thanks to their centuries of winemaking experience.

The wines of Brogsitter

Experience? They certainly have plenty of it at Brogsitter Winery. Its history dates back to 1600. However, over the past four hundred years, the winery has undergone various changes; it's a collaboration of several wineries. Just after the Second World War, the various wineries were brought together under one umbrella, thanks to Hans Brogsitter. This made the winery one of the largest players in Germany. A lead that the second generation, Hans-Joachim Brogsitter, has since further expanded.

But how do you create a white wine with blue grapes? It's a unique process that only the most renowned wineries are capable of. Because even though Spatburgunder, also known as Pinot Noir, is a blue grape, the juice is actually white. During fermentation, the skins are immediately removed, leaving the juice white. Yet, a touch of the exuberant Pinot Noir still lingers in the taste. In both the aroma and flavor of Brogsitter Terra Blanc de Noir Vom Spatburgunder, you'll discover abundant red fruit in the form of cherries and berries, as well as a refreshing citrus note.
