This beautiful winery, Saladini Pilastri Falerio, boasts a long, 100-year history. It is located in Pinetoli, in the Rosso Piceno region north of the city of Ancona. Originally a noble family from Ascoli Piceno, they established themselves in this beautiful area and cultivated exceptionally fertile soil. The ancient castle that houses Saladini Pilastri is magnificent. Dating back to the 13th century, it overlooks the Tronto River. The river plays a crucial role in the grapes' growth process. Besides the beautiful vineyards, the area is also home to some of the region's finest and oldest olive trees. Today, two renowned oenologists, Domenico d'Angelo and Roberto Cipresso, are at the forefront of this white wine. And they are no strangers to the area; they produce wine at the highest level!

The composition of this white Saladini Pilastri Falerio

The Saladini Pilastri winery has grown considerably and now boasts two hundred hectares of vineyards. Trebbiano, Passerina, and Pecorino grapes are used for this white Falerio wine. The grapes are grown entirely organically, and the taste reflects this: unique, pure, and exceptionally clean. The vineyards are quite old, reaching twenty years, resulting in a beautifully full harvest. The perfect climate at an altitude of 200 meters provides plenty of refreshment thanks to the ocean breeze. The powerful sun allows the grapes to ripen evenly, allowing for an early harvest.

Because the vines have deep roots, they can draw abundant nutrients from the clay, loam, and limestone soil. This naturally enriches the grape with a rich aroma and flavor. We immediately sense this upon opening the bottle, revealing nuances of ripe pear with hints of citrus fruit. In the glass, it transforms into a golden yellow, captivating our senses. With the glass to the nose, it offers a broad bouquet of white and yellow fruit, with refined notes of vanilla, citrus peel, and green olives. On the palate, the palate is pampered by a rich attack of yellow fruit, a touch of apricot, and the freshness of green apple. The purity of this Saladini Pilastri Falerio is perhaps its most striking feature: a beautiful, fresh attack with plenty of power. The finish offers a long, lingering finish with abundant fruit nuances.
