Heading slightly east, towards the cultural city of Verona, we enter Veneto's most famous region. Welcome to Valpolicella. Perhaps Italy's most famous red wine. Who doesn't adore a delicious Valpolicella Ripasso? Wineries like Farina and Sopra Sasso have made it their home. While there's little juice left, what remains is incredibly rich in flavor. It's a long and expensive project, and bottles from a unique vineyard are particularly pricey. Well-known producers include Bertani, Tommasi, and Tedeschi. The latter boasts a very impressive Amarone, Tedeschi Monte Olmi Amarone, sourced from Monte Olmi.
