The Ricasoli winery is located in the Chianti Classico region. It covers 1,200 hectares. The area is divided into rolling hills, velvety valleys, and dense chestnut and oak forests. Of the total area, almost 240 hectares are devoted to vineyards and 26 hectares to olive groves. They surround the Castello di Brolio in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti. Here in central Tuscany, Baron Francesco Ricasoli has run the winery since 1993. He is ready to take on any challenge to honor the land of his ancestors. This Riserva is the centerpiece of the three quality levels defined by the Consorzio del Vino Chianti Classico. Before it can be sold, the Riserva must age for at least 24 months, including at least three months in the bottle. Rocca Guicciarda once represented the most important estates of the Ricasoli barons. Today, it is the name of the Riserva di Chianti Classico. This wine is a traditional Riserva. Its distinctive aromas and sublime character are distinctive. At the same time, the wine is opulent and harmonious. The grape varieties are 90 percent Sangiovese, 5 percent Merlot, and 5 percent Canaiolo. The Rocca Guicciarda Chianti Classico Riserva has a ruby-red color with subtle garnet reflections.
