Champagne Boizel Brut Réserve 0.375L is the half-bottle version of the signature cuvée from Champagne Boizel in Épernay. This Brut Réserve perfectly embodies the house's philosophy: freshness, precision, and complexity, composed of 40% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 25% Meunier. The smaller bottle size is ideal when you want to enjoy Champagne with 1 or 2 people, as a stylish aperitif or with a refined appetizer.
This Champagne is composed of grapes from approximately 30 different crus within the Champagne region.
• Location / Origin: The grapes come from various crus in Champagne, giving Boizel plenty of scope to carefully combine freshness, structure, and roundness.
• Selection: For the Brut Réserve, only the first pressing is used. This juice is the most refined and forms the pure foundation for the fresh, elegant style of this Champagne.
• House style: Brut Réserve is the ambassador of the Boizel style. The cuvée centers on the balance between precision, fruit, roundness, and complexity.
Champagne Boizel Brut Réserve is made from the 3 classic grape varieties of Champagne.
• 40% Pinot Noir – Champagne: Pinot Noir gives the cuvée structure, finesse, and a solid foundation.
• 35% Chardonnay – Champagne: Chardonnay brings elegance, freshness, and a floral refinement to the blend.
• 25% Meunier – Champagne: Meunier provides fruit, roundness, and a supple, accessible texture.
The vinification is focused on purity, balance, and the recognizable Boizel complexity.
• Fermentation: The base wines are carefully vinified before the final assembly is made. By precisely blending the three grape varieties, a balance is created between freshness, fruit, structure, and roundness.
• Reserve wines: The cuvée contains 40% reserve wines from the 2 previous harvests. 4% of this is aged in foudres, large wooden casks, which provides extra depth and subtle complexity.
• Aging: The Champagne ages for 3 years on the lees. This aging on fine yeast cells provides more texture, brioche-like notes, and a richer mousse.
• Dosage: With a 7 g/l dosage, the style remains dry, fresh, and crisp, but with enough roundness to make the Champagne supple and accessible.
