The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

Clos Henri Sauvignon Blanc Waimaunga is a remarkable white wine originating from the prestigious Marlborough region of New Zealand. The wine is named after the beautiful Waimaunga estate, which holds special significance for the winery. This Sauvignon Blanc is the result of the efforts of Clos Henri, a winery with a rich history and expertise in producing excellent wines.

Clos Henri Sauvignon Blanc Waimaunga originates from the beautiful Wairau Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand. The grapes for Clos Henri Sauvignon Blanc Waimaunga are carefully harvested by hand. The vines are grown in specially selected plots that take full advantage of Marlborough's unique terroir, with its rich soil and cool climate that helps the grapes retain their freshness and vibrant aromas. After careful harvesting, the grapes undergo controlled fermentation, with 85 percent of the wine fermented in stainless steel tanks and the remaining 15 percent in old French oak barrels. This combination of stainless steel and oak fermentation contributes to the wine's complexity. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserves the fresh and fruity characteristics of the Sauvignon Blanc grape, while oak fermentation adds a lush texture and subtle oak notes. After fermentation, the wine is aged for another eight months on its lees, giving it a rounder flavor and contributing to the development of complex aromas.

Clos Henri Sauvignon Blanc Waimaunga is a beautiful, light lemon-yellow wine with a seductive aroma. Delightful aromas of ripe peach and juicy nectarine are followed by a hint of lime zest and subtle notes of honey blossom. At the first sip, the wine reveals its flavorful and beautifully dry character, perfectly balanced by fine acidity. The wine captivates the senses with a delightful minerality that reflects the terroir's characteristic expression. The wine's exquisite richness and tension are striking, creating a captivating and complex experience. The finish of Clos Henri Sauvignon Blanc Waimaunga is powerful and long-lasting, with all the flavors harmoniously blending. This wine impresses with its refined structure, displaying the perfect balance between fruity vibrancy and elegant minerality.
