This latest rosé from Laurent Miquel is a classy one, but it also required a great deal of experimentation! The result is stunning, as the grapes for this Les Auzines Alaina rosé are grown in a unique vineyard in Corbiere. Situated on a mountain plateau, the grapes receive plenty of sunshine but also cool nights. Ideal for crafting this top-notch rosé.

The beginning of the Laurent Miquel winery

It was the Romans who discovered the richness of Cazal Viel's soil and began cultivating it. It was a highly sought-after estate during the Middle Ages, a source of fierce conflict between the bishops of Narbonne and Montpellier. The estate was managed for a long time by the monks of Fontcaude Abbey, but during the Revolution, the abbey was seized and sold. In 1791, the Miquel family became the owners of Cazal Viel. Today, the area is the largest independent estate in the Siant-Chinian region. Passionately cultivated by Henri and eventually by his son Laurent, the eighth generation of winemakers. Owner Laurent Miquel's mission is to produce high-quality wine. He aims to emphasize the purity, balance, and minerality of his wines. He attaches great importance to respecting the knowledge and wisdom of previous generations and adapting it to the specific conditions of the vineyards. He always works with a long-term vision, taking nature and sustainability into account.

What does Auzines Rosé Laurent Miquel taste like?

The juice briefly touched the grape skins of grapes such as Syrah and Grenache, creating its beautiful, light rosé color. During fermentation, aromas of red fruit with spicy undertones develop. This Les Auzines Alaina Rosé has notes of red fruit like raspberries, strawberries, and currants, along with hints of herbs and citrus. The flavor reveals abundant red fruit, citrus peel, blossom, and a touch of lavender! Truly delicious!
