The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

When you think of the Italian wine region of Abruzzo, the first thing that comes to mind is its king: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Beloved worldwide for its friendly and approachable character, it's a wine that every wine drinker will appreciate. This Ponte Levatoio version benefits enormously from this: a fantastic Montepulciano d'Abruzzo that's truly delicious.

Italian wines are widespread throughout the country. From the far north in Valle d'Aosta to the deepest point of Puglia, Italy breathes wine. The refined style and the endless supply of local grape varieties make the whole world swoon over a good glass of Italian wine. One of the lesser-known regions is Abruzzo, nestled between Marche, Molise, and Lazio, with a beautiful eastern view of the Adriatic Sea. Yet, this region has enough to offer to serve a distinctive glass of wine. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions of Italy, partly due to its robust character. Yet, wine growing is possible. The Ponte Levatoio winery is located in Maiella, in the eastern half of the region. Here, Ponte Levatoio boasts an impressive 2,700 hectares of vineyards, making it one of the largest wineries in Abruzzo. The indigenous Montepulciano grape, from which the magnificent Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is made, is indispensable in the vineyards.

Ponte Levatoio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a true classic from the winery, and they're eager to share it with the public. It embodies precisely what Abruzzo stands for: robust and robust, yet with a gentle, friendly character just beneath the surface. What's striking about this Ponte Levatoio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is its exuberant aroma as soon as you open the bottle: fresh blackberries, dark cherries, and delicate forest fruit. As you take a sip, you're overcome with a warm and sultry feeling, making the love affair almost instantaneous.
