Alturis Pinot Grigio

When we think of white wine and Italy, Pinot Grigio immediately comes to mind. It's no wonder that the Alturis winery has created this delicious white wine. Thanks to the unique microclimate, the Pinot Grigio grapes for this white wine grow in perfect harmony. The adjacent mountains, combined with the Adriatic Sea breeze, create this perfect microclimate. The grapes for this Italian white wine are harvested manually in September. This harvest takes place early in the morning under the strict supervision of Marco and Massimo Zorzettig. This rigorous selection process ensures that only the finest and most beautiful grapes are used in the wine. By harvesting in the early morning, the Pinot Grigio grapes retain their fresh character. This is certainly evident in this Alturis Pinot Grigio. Once the grapes arrive at the Alturis winery, the gentle pressing takes place. After pressing, the wine is aged on the lees under controlled temperatures.

Already 3 generations with experience

Not far from the Austrian and Slovenian borders, in northeastern Italy, we find the Alturis winery. This beautiful name comes from the elevated vineyards in the area, also known as Alturis. Because the estate is surrounded by Alturis vineyards, on which the beautiful "Alturis" vineyards are planted, the name was a natural fit. Owners Marco and Massimo Zorzettig come from a family that has been active in the wine industry for over three generations. This gives them invaluable knowledge of crafting the finest wines, and you can certainly taste it!

Intense yet elegant white wine

The Alturis Pinot Grigio is one of our favorites from this beautiful winery. This wine evokes the beautiful country of Italy in a bottle. The color of this Italian white wine is bright golden yellow with a slight green shimmer. The nose reveals classic aromas of exotic fruit, nuts, and a hint of roasted almonds at the finish. This bodes well for the palate. The flavor is intense and fresh, yet also very elegant. The refined notes of exotic fruit flow smoothly through the wine. The slightly nutty bite provides a pleasant and subtle contrast. The finish is full and long with a refreshing finish.
