This Cabernet Sauvignon is made by Barefoot Winery, one of the largest wineries in America today. But it has a long history. It all begins in 1965, when California winemaker Davis Bynum first made a glass of Barefoot wine. In his garage, he created a new generation of wines that prioritized softness and refinement. Barefoot owes its name to the first pressing, which was carried out with bare feet.

Barefoot wines truly reached great heights in 1986 when visionary entrepreneurs Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey took over. They honored the name and gave the label a footprint, a kind of thanks to California winemaker Davis Bynum. The vineyards have since matured considerably, and the winemakers have dedicated considerable time to nurturing the grapes. As a result, Barefoot's vintages are truly fantastic, and you can taste that in this beautiful red wine. For several years now, Barefoot wines have been made by female winemaker Jennifer Wall. This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from Barefoot is wonderfully full-bodied with a bite. The wine has a beautiful, dark purple color with a red sheen that's very inviting. But that's not all, because the aroma is typical Cabernet Sauvignon, full and robust with notes of blackberry, cherry, plum, and a touch of chocolate and pepper. On the palate, this Barefoot is full and robust with silky-smooth flavors of black and red fruit. On the back of the tongue, you'll taste nuances of vanilla, mocha, pepper, and blackberry jam in this Cabernet Sauvignon. In short, a full-bodied wine with a very smooth character.
