Burmester Jockey Club Reserve Tawny: a full-bodied and powerful red port, a true Tawny Reserve. The grapes for this Jockey Club port grow on hills at an altitude of 600 meters, allowing them to soak up plenty of sunshine and enjoy the coolness of the night. Due to the altitude, all grapes are hand-harvested at precisely the right time. The grapes are planted in granite-covered soil, giving them their unique character. This Burmester Tawny Reserve is crafted from wines from different vintages, allowing for consistent quality year after year. Some of these wines are even aged in oak barrels aged for at least three years, allowing for subtle oak notes in the port wine.

Jockey Club Reserve Tawny rich and full of flavour

This delicious red port is crafted from several traditional grape varieties, namely Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and Tinta Roriz. The result is a beautifully balanced Tawny Reserve Port. The Burmester Jockey Club Port boasts an intense dark red color with a beautiful brown rim. This Burmester Jockey Club Reserve Tawny is 6 years old, and only the finest grapes are used for this Jockey Club Reserve Tawny. And you can taste it in this Burmester! It has an intense aroma with notes of fresh fruit. Aging in oak barrels creates aromas of dried fruit and nuts. The first impression is of fresh fruit, and due to the Port's age, some peppery notes are also discernible. Excellently balanced with a long finish.
