Creation Chardonnay, one of the top white wines from this wonderful winery! A truly full-bodied and creamy Chardonnay. According to the estate, this wine comes from paradise. The vineyards are located in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Walker Bay, a picturesque location with perfect conditions for growing grapes. And that's reflected in Creation's quality wines. The Creation Estate Chardonnay is a multi-layered wine with a good balance between tropical, ripe fruit and crisp acidity.

The dream of Creation Estate winery

In 2002, Jean Claude and Carolyn Martin began their dream. They began by planting 22 hectares of new vineyards. This site had never been vine-grown before, making the risk of viruses very low. They planted a beautiful variety of grapes: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah, and Malbec. The vineyards are situated 350 meters above sea level and just a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean. The ideal soil combined with the fresh sea breeze provides perfect conditions for viticulture. After extensive preparation and the preparation of the cellar, the duo was ready for the first harvest in 2007. Since then, Creation Wines has been making a real breakthrough. The result is a wide range of pure, elegant, full-bodied, rich wines with wonderful aromas. A winery you absolutely shouldn't miss.

What does the Creation Chardonnay taste like?

After harvest, the grapes are pressed and the juice is fermented in oak barrels at a controlled temperature of twenty degrees Celsius. The wine then matures for eight months in oak, thirty percent of which is new. Bâtonnage—the mixing of the yeast cells—takes place every two weeks. This rounds out the wine and adds complexity. On the nose, we found a lovely combination of pear and peach with a soft vanilla note. The palate is full and creamy, with lovely fruity notes of pear, peach, and a hint of banana. Finished with lovely vanilla notes and a touch of acidity for a good balance. What a delicious white wine this Creation Chardonnay is.
