From the moment they began producing wine, Delheim Winery has focused primarily on two top South African wines: Chenin Blanc and Pinotage, the national pride of South Africa. This is precisely what this beautiful winery is known for. Located in the heart of Stellenbosch, it has planted several vineyards with Pinotage. The Simonsberg Mountains provide a natural barrier against extreme weather conditions, allowing the Pinotage grapes to develop beautifully, and this is clearly evident in this Delheim Pinotage Rosé.
The origin of this rosé
It all begins with the harvest, which takes place at one of the vineyards on the 120-hectare estate. Under the winemaker's strict supervision, the bunches of Pinotage are carefully picked. Only the finest grapes are good enough for Delheim Pinotage Rosé. The juice of the Pinotage grapes releases a lot of flavor, yet remains clear. The attractive salmon-pink color comes from the fermentation of the skins. This is done briefly, however, to prevent the skins from releasing too much color. The Delheim Pinotage Rosé is then bottled immediately, ensuring the rosé retains its freshness.
The smell and taste of Delheim Pinotage rosé
A summer stunner, a must-have for your wine cellar. We were amazed by the exceptional quality of this glass. Everything seems to be perfect: the color, the aroma, and the exquisite taste. The aroma is rich, concentrated, and fruity. You'll smell red fruits like strawberries and raspberries, but also cranberries and pomegranate. A floral character develops on the nose. The taste is thirst-quenching and invigorating. A refined, fresh, and fruity palate unfolds on the tongue. Balanced acidity thanks to the presence of plenty of fruit. Indispensable as an aperitif, a summer salad, or with baked salmon. Undoubtedly your new favorite wine.
