Dumanet Marselan IGP Edition Limitée | Pays d'Oc, France
Dumanet Marselan IGP Édition Limitée is a characterful red wine from the Languedoc, made from the relatively unknown yet expressive Marselan grape. This special edition is produced in limited quantities and represents the top segment of the popular Dumanet series. The wine combines modern precision with southern French sunshine and offers remarkable depth for its price point.
Vineyards and region
The grapes come from the Pays d'Oc region, where the Mediterranean climate ensures warm days and cool nights. The vines are planted on clay and limestone soils, which give the final wine concentration and structure. Thanks to the low yields per hectare, the terroir's expression is clearly discernible in the glass.
Vinification and maturation
After careful selection, the Marselan undergoes traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then partially aged in oak barrels, which enhances the fruity aromas with subtle oak notes and adds depth. This limited edition, bottled as the Édition Limitée, is intended for lovers of powerful, elegant southern French wines.
Grape composition
100% Marselan.
Tasting notes and serving suggestions
This Dumanet opens with aromas of dark fruit, blackcurrant, and a hint of toasted wood. The palate is full and rounded, with soft tannins, ripe fruit, and a light spiciness in the finish. Serve at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius with steak, lamb chops, or a stew with Provençal herbs.
