Twelve months of wood aging for the Malbec

The grapes come from east-facing vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo-Maipo, a subregion of Mendoza. The vines are on average 50 years old, resulting in a low harvest quantity but sky-high quality. Planted at an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters, the vines enjoy a unique microclimate. At peak ripeness, the grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted. This is all done under the winemaker's strict supervision; only the finest bunches are allowed to become part of Luigi Bosca Malbec. Fermentation takes place at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The juice is then aged for 12 months in French oak, some of which is new, ensuring the oak releases a wealth of flavor. This is clearly noticeable in the exuberant aromas of Luigi Bosca Malbec. Think black fruit, spices, vanilla, and tobacco.
