What a royal wine this Murphy Goode Liar's Dice Zinfandel is, truly one you'll never forget. Winemaker David Ready Jr. uses Zinfandel grapes from very old vines in Sonoma Country for this red wine. The climate here is perfect for making a classy wine. In 1985, friends Tim Murphy, Dale Goode, and Dave Ready decided to join forces while playing Liar's Dice (bluffing poker) and thus founded Murphy Goode. The winery is located in the Alexander Valley in northern Sanoma County. Today, it is part of the Jackson Family Wines Collection. In the United States, the winery is known for its straightforward, frequently award-winning wines and for its casual, unpretentious style. The winery is still run by the same family. The organization is in the hands of Tim Murphy's three sons, and Dave Ready's sons are responsible for the winemaking.
