The well-known Pareto principle, also known as the 80/20 rule, means that 80 percent of the results come from 20 percent of the effort. In the case of wine, 80 percent of the wine is consumed by 20 percent of the people. This delicious Chardonnay is highly aromatic and, above all, fresh and deliciously fruity.
The perfect vineyards for Chardonnay
Al Scheid first planted vineyards in Monterey County in 1972. It began as a grape growing operation, selling its entire production to other wineries. But today, it has grown into a major player in the wine world. They now own 12 sustainably farmed vineyards with a wide variety of terroirs. Pareto's Estate Wines was built in 2005. Pareto's Estate vineyards are located in Monterey County on California's central coast. This area is known for having the longest growing season in California, averaging about two weeks longer than other regions. This is due to the early morning fog and strong afternoon winds. And the grapes love it.
This white wine is made from 100% Chardonnay, the world's most famous green grape variety, grown in virtually all wine-producing countries. The grapes for this wine are grown in the predominantly cool-climate region of Monterey County, where cool afternoon winds extend the Chardonnay growing season. This allows for the development of complex fruit flavors while maintaining the grapes' acidity, so crucial to the final wine. The wine is fermented and aged in oak barrels.
What does Pareto's Estate Chardonnay taste like?
Chardonnay 80/20 has a light straw yellow color in the glass. The aroma is highly aromatic with notes of citrus, red apples, pear, mango, and pineapple, as well as hints of toasted oak and cream caramel. It is a crisp white wine with a medium body and plenty of fruit. The palate is beautifully balanced with notes of citrus and tropical fruit, as well as hints of vanilla and toasted oak. The roundness results in a long and smooth finish with hints of tropical fruit, cream caramel, and sweet vanilla.
