This white wine, made from the famous Pinot Grigio grape, comes from the beautiful Roeno winery. This winery lies on the geographical border of Veneto and Alto Adige, two phenomenal wine regions. As you stroll through Roeno's vineyards, your jaw will drop. Beautiful and dazzling. Numerous vistas await, with vineyards stretching to the horizon. The rolling landscape creates a stunning sunrise. Roeno specializes in unique, often indigenous, grape varieties, including Pinot Grigio. But unique grape varieties like Gewürztraminer, Marzemino, Terdoldego, and Muller Thurgau have also contributed to Roeno's success.

A heavenly white wine from the Tera Alta vineyard

Roeno Winery is a true family business. It was founded in the 1960s by Rolando Fugatti. He has since passed the winery on to the second generation: Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe. The winery has many vineyards throughout magnificent Italy. However, the Pinot Grigio grapes for Roeno Tera Alta Pinot Grigio come from a separate vineyard. The Tera Alta vineyard, specially selected for Pinot Grigio grapes, is located in Valdadige, a wine region in northern Italy.

The vinification of Roeno Tera Alta Pinot Grigio

The Pinot Grigio grapes are harvested entirely by hand. This allows the winemaker to better select the best grapes. Only the finest and fullest bunches are considered for Roeno Tera Alta Pinot Grigio. After fermentation, a portion of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak, which tempers the acidity. The remainder of Roeno Tera Alta Pinot Grigio is aged in stainless steel tanks on its own lees (sur lie). This further softens the wine, making it a true pleasure to drink.
