Wijnhuis Sierra Noble

Sierra Noble had spent years searching for a vineyard to produce their Chardonnay wine. But ultimately, they looked beyond the vineyards in Chile and made the move to South Africa. After all, the weather and soil structure there were better for producing a top-quality Chardonnay. It might seem a bit odd, but Sierra Noble wants only the best grapes in the bottle, so they decided to collaborate with a winemaker friend. It proved successful, as this South African winemaker had a magnificent vineyard in the Western Cape. For years, the finest Chardonnay vines have been grown there, from which this bottle of Sierra Noble is made.

Ideal climate in South Africa

Climate is crucial for achieving full, powerful Chardonnay bunches. Abundant sunshine in the vineyards with their old vines produces a powerful, perfect bunch. This, combined with the ocean breeze, creates a unique interplay of warmth and coolness. Wine has been grown in the soil where the vineyards are located for hundreds of years, making it a treasure trove for Sierra Noble Chardonnay. The grapes are harvested early in the morning at ideal ripeness and rigorously inspected by the winegrower. Only the finest juice is obtained from the finest Chardonnay bunches, ensuring it meets Sierra Noble's quality standards.

Creamy and powerful this Sierra Noble Chardonnay

Upon opening the bottle, we immediately smell a powerful aroma of tropical fruit and vanilla. We take a large glass and pour this wine. A golden yellow color then lingers beautifully in the glass. The thick structure creates a warm bouquet of aromas, including tropical fruit, with hints of apricot, vanilla, and citrus. On the palate, it leaves the tongue with a thick and oily mouthfeel, a richness of tropical and exotic fruit, and a light citrus note. The long finish is complete, making this white wine a favorite in fine restaurants.
