Spier Signature Chardonnay Pinot Noir Rose

One of Spier Estate's top wines is this Spier Chardonnay Pinot Noir rosé. It's a wine that's very similar to a still Champagne. The grape combination creates this wonderful, similar flavor. It's a combination not often used, but when it is, it often makes for a top-notch wine. This delicious rosé from Spier Estate is no exception! The grapes grow in the warm regions of South Africa. To ensure that the quality of the grapes doesn't deteriorate rapidly during harvest, they are harvested by hand. This harvest takes place early in the morning, when the grapes are still fresh. The grapes are then transported to the winery in small crates of no more than 10 kilos to prevent further damage.

The winery is located on the Spier Estate. This modern winery is housed in one of the estate's 21 buildings, all dating back to the late 17th century. Spier's modern winemaking techniques ensure consistent quality year after year, giving you the same vintage every year. Winemaker Frans Smit is responsible for carefully overseeing all of this. The scent and taste of the Spier Rose

The salmon-pink color already looks very attractive and summery. The aroma offers sunny aromas of young red fruit with a light hint of spice. The palate is rich with hints of strawberry and raspberry, interspersed with a light citrus note and a pleasant spiciness. This makes for a flavorful, fresh rosé wine with plenty of power to pair with delicious dishes. We are huge fans of this delicious South African rosé.
