This Black Wolf is Vignobles Vellas's flagship wine, made from Syrah, Grenache Noir, and Mourvedre grapes. It's highly recommended for its full-bodied, powerful character. It originates from the region north of Montpellier, thirty kilometers from the Mediterranean coast. Thanks to its exceptional climate, this Black Wolf can develop into the finest. The grapes are planted in calcareous, filtering, and deep soil.

At the Vignobles Vellas winery, respect for nature is paramount. That's why most of their vineyards are organic. This winery also stands out for its unique labels. Each wine has a unique label, which the winery uses to tell its own story. The 120-hectare vineyard is located on this family-owned estate. The winery also owns five distilleries in various regions of France. In these locations, they benefit from fantastic climates that the grapes thrive in. Warm days and cooler nights ensure perfect grape ripeness. This results in rich, fruity wines, concentrated and intense, as well as aromatic and elegant rosés and white wines.

A French powerhouse

Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Grenache Noir are blended using traditional winemaking methods. Proper temperature control is also essential for developing a quality wine with good acidity. Serve this dark wine at around 16 degrees Celsius to maximize its full potential. Its name is also well-chosen, as it has a slightly spooky quality and reflects the fascination one might feel with a wolf. The color is intense, purple, and accentuated by purple hues. The aromatic nose reveals notes of black and ripe fruit, complemented by vanilla, spices, plums, and oak. The palate of this Black Wolf Pic Saint Loup is full-bodied and powerful.
