Markus Molitor took over his father's winery in 1984 at the age of 20 with a clear goal: to continue the tradition of eight generations and make the Molitor name world-famous. Markus Molitor has succeeded in something that eight generations couldn't achieve: creating beautiful wines that can be enjoyed worldwide. Thanks to dedication and passion, German Mosel wines no longer have the negative image, but instead possess depth and complexity. The vinification of Haus Klosterberg Pinot Blanc

Markus Molitor now owns several vineyards surrounding his private estate. Some vineyards are small and exclusive, but the most famous and largest remains Klosterberg. Because Markus Molitor considers Klosterberg the foundation of his house wines, he also calls it Haus Klosterberg. Incidentally, the term "house wine" has absolutely no negative connotations here. In fact, it reflects the high quality and standards Markus Molitor sets for his wines. Markus Molitor is a true pioneer in the Riesling world. However, he remains a successful entrepreneur and has therefore also planted other grape varieties, including this Pinot Blanc, locally known as Weissburgunder. These are planted on either side of the Klosterberg vineyard, where they can obtain the highest quality. Because the soil contains sufficient slate, the Pinot Blanc nevertheless develops sufficient power. The typical Markus Molitor style is therefore still very much in evidence.

After the harvest, which isn't suitable until October, the delicate process of producing this Markus Molitor Haus Klosterberg Pinot Blanc begins. The slate soil imparts a dry character without compromising the rich aromas. The aroma is an abundance of yellow fruit and juicy pears, yet enveloped in a fresh and delicate sauce, perfectly preserving the Pinot Blanc character.
