One of Chanson's most famous wines is this top-notch Chassagne Montrachet. It's a wine full of inspiration and power! We can safely say that this is Chanson's flagship wine. This wine is made from three plots of land owned by and with select winegrowers, all located in the heart of the village of Chassagne Montrachet. The best grapes are selected each year to nurture this wine.

A top Burgundy wine producer

Founded in 1750, Domaine Chanson has focused its winery and vineyards on the most modern and innovative technology, positioning itself among the top Burgundy wine producers. The Chanson style is distinguished by its structure, freshness, and minerality, characteristics that aging wines possess. They are one of only six remaining producers in the region dating back to the 18th century and earlier. Chanson was purchased in 1999 and has undergone a drastic restoration to once again become one of Burgundy's top estates. And they have succeeded quite successfully. No fewer than three wines from the range were named "Wine of the Year" in 2017. Chassagne-Montrachet is a pure Chardonnay. The Domaine Chanson vineyard is located next to the famous Montrachet appellation and covers 2 hectares. The vineyard has a unique architecture: small blocks that overlap.

Completely hand-harvested for Chassagne-Montrachet

After being hand-harvested, this white Chanson is aged for 11 months in oak barrels, during which time this Chassagne Montrachet develops into a powerful, muscular wine. The aroma reveals very fresh floral notes intertwined with citrus fruit aromas and white flesh. Beautiful vanilla notes on the palate complement a structured and complex attack of fruit and spice. Lovely texture and flavor nuances of peach, apricot, red apple, vanilla, spice, and oak. The finish is long and refreshing, ending with a hint of minerality.
