Description
Since 1892, Domaines Paul Mas wines have been cultivated in the Languedoc wine region of southern France. The family's philosophy is clear: to produce ripe and round wines known for their purity. And they've succeeded in all of this, including this red Claude Val wine. Currently at the helm is Mr. Jean-Claude Mas, considered the master of the South of France. With his fashionable wines made from local grapes, he has revived the local character of the Languedoc among wine lovers.
Composition of the red Claude Val
This red wine is made from four grape varieties: Carignan, Grenache, Merlot, and Syrah. All of these contribute to the success of this Claude Val red wine. The old vines grow in clay and chalky soil and can easily absorb moisture from the nutrient-rich soil structure. This is crucial, as summers in this wine region can often be hot. Once the grapes have reached full ripeness, they are harvested one by one and vinified. Then comes the work of master Jean-Claude Mas. He creates the perfect blend for this Claude Val red wine. And he surprises us again: what a superb wine, and at this price. It's no wonder this red wine is often served in fine restaurants. The aroma and taste of the red Claude Val
As soon as the cap is opened, we smell the south of France, abundant sunny red fruit complemented by a light spice. Pouring reveals even more aromas, revealing a very pleasant color. It can be described as ruby red with a purple hue. Nosing the glass, we smell abundant red fruit again, with raspberries and plums taking center stage. The palate is incredibly smooth, with notes of red and black fruit and a touch of licorice. The finish is very pleasant and silky.Product details
