Vines were planted here as early as 1898, featuring grape varieties typical of the South of France, such as Chardonnay. The combination of the warm climate and the cool sea air ensures that the grapes thrive in Domaine Lasserre's vineyards. Today, the winery boasts an impressive 300 hectares of vineyards. Many traditional grape varieties have earned a place here, but the Chardonnay is by far the most outstanding. The grapes are fermented traditionally after harvest. This best reveals the character of Domaine Lasserre Prestige Chardonnay. After fermentation, 50% of the juice is aged for a full five months in oak barrels. This gives the white wine even more power and depth, while maintaining its accessibility.
