Trapiche Melodias Chardonnay is a beautiful Chardonnay with all the refined characteristics. This dry white wine comes from the Trapiche wine cellars in the Mendoza wine region and is made entirely of Chardonnay. The grapes come from select vineyards: Las Palmas in Cruz de Piedra, 1883, Santa Rosa, and other vineyards in the Mendoza region. The soil is sandy, irrigated with water from the Andes.

The beginning of the Trapiche winery

Trapiche Winery was founded in 1883, initially with a small vineyard at the foot of the Andes, called El Trapiche. Starting as a local enterprise, Trapiche has since grown into a substantial winery. Today, they have 1,000 hectares of vineyards. Besides their own vineyards, they collaborate with over three hundred local winegrowers to offer wine from the finest terroir in the Mendoza wine province. Bodegas Trapiche's vineyards cover an area of 1,075 hectares. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of between 630 and 1,000 meters. At this altitude, the climate is relatively cool, and the temperature difference between day and night is considerable. This allows the grapes to develop excellent aromatic qualities and good acidity, both of which are essential for great wines. The winery is also equipped with the latest technology. The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed, and pressed. The must is then cooled to five degrees Celsius. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of fifteen degrees Celsius. There is no oak aging.

What does Trapiche Melodias Chardonnay taste like?

This wine has aromas of green apples and tropical fruit (including pineapple) on the nose. But the taste is also fantastic, beautifully balanced, mildly dry, with plenty of tropical fruit and a full, rounded finish. A delicious pairing with fish dishes, white meat, and pasta.
