The origin, grapes and craftsmanship behind this wine.

German wines are on the rise, and at the forefront of this procession is Steffen Winery. This family business from Trittenheim has been active in German winemaking for over 200 years. The winery was founded by Johann Steffen as early as 1794. Many generations later, father Hans Steffen and son Roman Steffen are now at the helm of this German powerhouse. Steffen distinguishes itself not only for its quality and sustainability, but also for its family roots. Johann Steffen could never have founded the winery with the help of family, and that is why the family bond remains paramount within Steffen Winery.

The winery is situated along the banks of the Mosel River, in the village of Trittenheim, about a half-hour drive from Trier. Along the steep slopes of this unique and important river, grapes grow in abundance, many of whose vineyards are owned by the Steffen winery. However, the winery also has several vineyards in Rheinhessen, about two hours east of its home port. This is also where the Grauburgunder grapes, used for the Steffen ST 52 Grauburgunder, are grown.

An exceptionally opulent wine that has captured the heart of every wine lover. Ultimate purity is the hallmark of this Steffen ST 52 Grauburgunder. The high quality of the grapes is immediately apparent upon opening this bottle of white wine. The aroma offers a surprisingly broad bouquet that keeps you sniffing. You'll smell notes of tropical fruits and citrus, as well as ripe pear. Swirl Steffen ST 52 Grauburgunder in your glass, and you'll discover notes like pistachio and almond. What a treat! The lively palate will leave you feeling incredibly enthusiastic. You'll taste quality, that's for sure. The elegant acidity will fill your mouth. On the palate, a palette of green apple, lime, and pear unfolds. Steffen ST 52 Grauburgunder offers a tasting experience that many can only dream of.
