This red wine is a declaration of love from Fons Aaldering to his beautiful wife, Marianne. The name Lady M is reflected in it. Fons wanted to make a wine that was truly beautiful without any fuss. That's why he chose South Africa for his love, namely the Pinotage grape; the beauty of this wine is reflected in every aspect. He selected a vineyard in Stellenbosch where the climate and soil structure were so exceptionally good that a wine could be made without oak aging. At an altitude of 160 meters above sea level, he found his dream and has been planting Pinotage grapes there since 1998. The vines have matured and are producing better and more beautiful bunches each year, something Fons Aaldering is proud of. With much love, just as he does for his wife, he raises the grapes, and you can taste that in this wine.

Completely hand harvested for this Lady M

Because Aaldering doesn't use oak aging for this wine, the harvest must be brought in with the utmost pressure. Each bunch is harvested by hand and subject to strict quality control. Only the very best bunches are allowed to make it into the bottle of Lady M. Well, they more than succeeded, and the juice is priceless. After maturing in Aaldering's cellars, this red wine is ready to drink, and you can even chill it slightly.

What does the Aaldering Lady M taste like?

A fruity aroma is often lacking in many Pinotage wines, but this exceptional Aaldering Lady M certainly is! A burst of blackberry, raspberry, and cherry is evident on both the nose and palate. The rich style continues on the palate, revealing hints of blackcurrant, blueberry, and dark cherry. A beautiful acid balance and lovely, ripe, soft tannins make the alcohol barely perceptible thanks to the freshness of the fruit.
