A relatively young winery. While many Spanish wineries have a history of at least half a century (and often much longer), Enate was founded just thirty years ago. Yet, in a relatively short time, they have managed to achieve impressive results. Enate's wines are considered among the best in Spain. They are high-quality wines that offer an excellent balance between price and quality. We are fans.

The Enate wine from Spain

Enate Winery is located in the small village of Salas Bajas. The village is typically Spanish, with several picturesque streets leading to an idyllic village square. The average tourist would surely skip this village. If it weren't for the fact that one of the most impressive and dynamic wineries in all of Spain is located here: Bodegas Enate. The vineyards are located in the DO Somontano winery, a relatively new DO designation. However, Enate has single-handedly ensured that Spanish wine from Somontano has become incredibly popular throughout Europe.

Award-winning wines from Enate

We are incredibly proud to sell Enate wines. They demonstrate that the Spanish are arguably the best winemakers in the world. We award all Enate wines, from the Crianza to the Reserva, a hundred points! However, we're not the only ones enthusiastic about Enate wines. Every year, Harold Hamersma, the most renowned Dutch wine journalist, publishes the comprehensive Hamersma, featuring all the top wines. The iconic Enate Chardonnay 234 was once again given a prominent place in the latest edition. It received an 8.5, a tremendous score for a white wine in this price range.

The wines of Enate

Besides the beloved Enate Chardonnay 234, the winery also offers another exceptional white wine: the Enate Gewürztraminer. We can safely call it a special wine, as this grape, originally from Alsace, is rarely found outside its region of origin.

Enate also offers a variety of red wines. It's remarkable that there's room for both local varieties like Tempranillo and international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, all of which make their mark on Enate's wines. Cabernet Sauvignon, in particular, is crucial to Enate. It's used to make the robust and characterful Enate Reserva.
